In addition to the duties set forth in Section 5.061 of the City Charter and other ordinances of the City, the Treasurer shall supervise the general financial policy of the City and shall furnish such information in such form as may be required by the City Manager for the operation of the City government. The Treasurer shall keep and preserve all public moneys in the depositories as designated by ordinance or by any statute applicable thereto. If at any time, and for any cause whatever, there are moneys not on deposit in a depository as provided by Ohio R.C. Chapter 135, or retained or invested as otherwise permitted by such law, such moneys shall be deemed to be in the custody of the Treasurer who shall be responsible therefor.
