§ 99.24 WEED CUTTING BY VILLAGE.
   (A)   Upon failure of the owner, tenant, occupant or other interested person of lots with occupied buildings or structures to comply with the notice to cut or destroy the weeds within five days from the date of the service of the notice provided for in this code, or in the case of a tract of real estate without any structures located thereon or upon which there are vacant structures, such persons have failed to comply with the published notice provided for in the code, the village may proceed to have the weeds cut or destroyed.
   (B)   If the notice provided for is returned to the U.S. Post Office because of its inability to make delivery thereof, the responsible village officials are hereby authorized and empowered to cut or destroy such weeds.
