The operator of a motor vehicle that strikes and injures any domestic animal shall immediately stop and give such aid as can reasonably be rendered. In the absence of the owner, he shall also immediately notify an animal control officer or law enforcement officer, furnishing requested facts relative to the incident. Emergency vehicles operating in accordance with or responding to an emergency are exempted from the requirements of this provision. (Ord. 2015.04, 6-11-2015)
