Whenever a tenant or landlord requests a final water reading on a rental property, the water will be disconnected at that time unless the landlord specifies otherwise. In the event the city is requested to not disconnect the water service following the final reading, the landlord will be responsible for any water usage until such time as the new tenant registers at city hall as provided in section 8-3-2 of this chapter. The city will not charge a water shutoff or turn on fee due to final reading disconnections. (Ord., 12-12-2005)
