§ 51.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person found to be violating any provision of this chapter, except § 51.03, shall be served by the village with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limitation for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violations.
   (B)   Any person who continues any violations beyond the time limit provided for in this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding $150 for each violation. Each day in which any such violation continues is a separate offense.
   (C)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall become liable to the village for any expense, loss or damage occasioned the village by reason of such violation.

   (D)   In the event that any individual owns property which has a second water meter or other water meter connected in violation of this subchapter or any individual engages in activity to connect a water meter in violation of this subchapter, such a violation shall constitute a violation of this subchapter and shall result in a fine of not less than $75 and not more than $750. In such event, the village, at its election, may seek injunctive relief to correct the illegal hookup. In the event that any such violation, the resident shall permanently be prohibited from having a second water meter either permanent or temporary.
