The probationary period for officers is 12 months in duration from the date of hire. During the probationary period, an officer is subject to discharge, without cause and with no recourse to the grievance procedure. It is further agreed the probationary officer shall be entitled to all other rights, privileges, and benefits conferred by this chapter, except as previously stated.
