The employer recognizes the union as the sole and exclusive representative for all full-time police officers. In addition, during the term of this agreement, any part-time officer currently represented or who works a total of 624 or more hours during any contract calendar year shall become a member of the bargaining unit and remain a member of the bargaining unit for as long as the officer is employed by the village as a police officer. The bargaining unit expressly excludes all sworn police officers above the rank of police officer, including the Chief, and all supervisors, managers, and confidential employees.
