No owner, agent, employee, driver or operator shall knowingly drive or operate a taxicab to which is attached a taximeter that registers improperly, incorrectly or not in accordance with the rate authorized under this Public Vehicle Code and posted in the taxicab.
Following a conviction for knowingly operating a taxicab with such an improper or incorrect taximeter, it shall be mandatory for the Director to revoke the permit of the vehicle concerned.
