783.07. Tests and tolerances defined.
   (a)   "Bench test" means a test of a taximeter head alone, except that the gear box, that is, the change gears designed to compensate for tires of different sizes, may be attached.
   (b)   "Wheel test" means a test of the entire taximeter assembly when mounted upon a vehicle, the mechanism being actuated by the mechanism revolution of the vehicle wheel while the cab remains at rest.
   (c)   "Road test" means a test similar to a wheel test except that the mechanism is actuated as a result of cab travel.
   (d)   "Initial" mileage or "time interval" means the mileage or time interval corresponding to the initial money drop.
   (e)   "Tolerance in deficiency" and "tolerance in excess" are the allowance errors in the directions of over-registration and under- registration respectively.
