765.02. License required, exemptions; terminations.

(a) No person shall operate or cause to operate a police ordered tow vehicle on any street or highway within the City without first obtaining the following from the Director of Finance:

(1) A safety license for the purposes of performing police ordered tows. Only Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle licensed drivers shall perform police ordered tows of motor vehicles and heavy duty vehicles when additionally authorized by the Director of Public Safety pursuant to this Chapter.
