1761.05. Sanitary requirements.
   (a)   The operator of every rooming house shall be responsible for the sanitary maintenance of all walls, floors and ceilings, and for maintenance of a sanitary condition in every other part of the rooming house; and he shall be further responsible for the sanitary maintenance of the entire premises where the entire structure of building is leased or occupied by the operator.
   (b)   Every dwelling having a dwelling unit along with a rooming house shall with respect to such dwelling unit comply with all the requirements for dwelling units as established by the provisions of Chapters 1745 to 1755, inclusive.

   (c)   If the owner or operator of a rooming house permits the keeping of pets, such pets shall not create a nuisance caused by infestations or by accumulations of body wastes.
   (d)   Adequate rubbish storage containers which type are approved by appropriate City regulation shall be supplied by the rooming house operator. The operator shall be responsible for the disposal of all rubbish in a clean and sanitary manner by placing it in the required containers.
   (e)   In rooming houses having both rooming units and dwelling units, adequate garbage disposal facilities of garbage storage containers, which type and location are approved, shall be supplied by the rooming house operator. The operator shall be responsible for the disposal of all garbage in a clean and sanitary manner.
   (f)   The operator of a rooming house shall be responsible for hanging all screen doors and window screens whenever the same are required under the provisions of this Housing Code or of any rule or regulation adopted pursuant thereto.
   (g)   The operator of a rooming house shall be responsible for the extermination of any insects, rodents or other vermin therein and he shall be further responsible for such extermination of the entire premises where the entire structure of the building within which the rooming house is contained, is leased or occupied by the operator.
