§ 36.002  ELECTING OFFICERS FOR BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.
   (A)   All boards and commissions identified and established in this chapter shall annually elect a chairperson and vice chairperson.
   (B)   The election of officers shall occur each year at the first meeting of the boards or commission occurring after May 1 of each year.
   (C)   Officers shall serve until the first meeting after May 1 of the following year.
   (D)   In the event of the resignation or other termination of membership of both the chairperson and vice chairperson before their terms as officers expire, the board or commission shall elect an interim chairperson or vice chairperson to serve until the first meeting after May 1, when new officers shall be elected.
