Every building owner on any street in the municipality shall, within 30 days after receiving notice of the proper number of such building from the City Manager or designee, fix the number in a conspicuous place on the front of the building. The figures of the number shall be not less than 3 inches in height and shall be made of metal, porcelain or other durable material. Numbers shall be maintained upon the building at all times and no number other than the number assigned shall be placed or permitted to remain upon the building. All broken or defaced figures shall be promptly replaced or restored to proper condition so that they may be read distinctly from the public right-of-way.
