§ 34.070  DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND REVITALIZATION; DUTIES.
   (A)   The Department of Community Development and Revitalization shall be under the direction of the Director of Community Development and Revitalization, who shall be accountable to the City Manager. He or she shall perform his or her duties as set out in §§ 34.002 and 34.003.
   (B)   The Department of Community Development and Revitalization shall perform the following duties together with other functions, which the City Manager may assign:
      (1)   Study and advise the City Manager on any matter affecting the physical development of the municipality;
      (2)   Formulate and recommend to the City Manager a comprehensive plan and modifications thereof;
      (3)   Review and make recommendations to the Manager regarding proposed Council action implementing the comprehensive plan pursuant to the Charter;
      (4)   Participate in the preparation and revision of the capital improvement program;
      (5)   Advise the Planning Board, Restoration Board, and Board of Appeals in the exercise of their responsibilities and in connection therewith to provide necessary staff assistance;
      (6)   Respond to and find resolution to zoning and property maintenance complaints as Zoning Administrator as referenced herein; and
      (7)   Review zoning and subdivision standards and make recommendations for changes when needed to the appropriate board.
