The Community Development Department shall license contractors to work within its corporate limits upon proper application, compliance with the provisions of this subchapter, and payment of the fee set out in § 110.25.
(A) All licenses shall be valid for one calendar year from January 1 to December 31, unless otherwise revoked as prescribed in this subchapter.
(B) All contractors must provide a valid certificate of liability insurance ($1,000,000 per occurrence minimum).
(C) All general contractors and subcontractors must be licensed prior to being issued any building permits by the village’s Development Services Department. Any change in the general or subcontractors once a permit has been issued shall be put in writing by the general contractor or subcontractor if no general contractor is present, within three business days of such change, and delivered to the Community Development Department.
