§ 50.024 EXCESS CHARGES DUE TO DEFECTIVE METER.
   If at any time a meter fails to register the quantity of water passing through it, the quantity shall be determined and the charge made based on the quantity registered during the corresponding periods of the previous years, or, if applicable, then based upon 85 gallons per capita per day for a residential user and a reasonable estimate based upon village experience for any non-residential user. The customer shall be responsible for maintaining all pipes and fixtures on the owned premises, and no credit will be given on excess meter charges caused by leakage and waste on the customer's premises, whether known or not.
