(A) There is hereby established a retirement honorarium for full-time employees, firefighters who have 15 years of more of continuous service with the village. The retirement honorarium shall be paid to the employee at the time of his or her retirement in the sum of $50 per year of service with a maximum award not to exceed $1,000.

(B) The Village Manager shall administer the retirement honorarium, and is directed to promulgate all necessary rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this section.
