(A) The regular meetings of the Village Board of Trustees shall be held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the hour of 6:30 p.m.; provided that if the regular meeting falls on a legal holiday, the meeting shall take place on the next business day at the same hour. Adjourned meetings may be held at those times as the Board of Trustees may determine. The Board of Trustees may, by motion, resolution, ordinance, or otherwise order any regular meeting to be held other than on the days specified above.
(B) Special meetings of the Board of Trustees may be called by the President or three Trustees. However, a written notice of the meeting shall be given to each member of the Board of Trustees at least 48 hours before the time set for the meeting, and the notice shall describe in brief the nature or object of the call and shall include the agenda for the special meeting. In case all elected members of the Board are present at any special meeting, then the requirement of notice shall be deemed waived as to the President and members of the Board of Trustees. Notice of a special meeting shall be given at least 48 hours before the meeting by posting a copy of the notice, including the agenda of the meeting, in the Village Clerk’s office within the village hall, and by supplying copies of the notice to any local newspaper of general circulation, or any local radio or television station, or any other news media which has filed an annual request with the Village Clerk for the notice.
(C) Public notice of all meetings of the Village Board of Trustees shall be given as required by the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
