165.19  INJURY LEAVE AND PROPERTY LOSS COMPENSATION.
   (a)   For the ranks of Chief and Captain of the Police Force and Chief and Deputy Chief of the Fire Department, or those serving as "Acting" by order of the Chief or the City Administrator, in the event of a service-connected occupational injury in the course of and arising out of the employee's employment with the City, the employees shall be granted a paid leave of absence at the current rate of salary, referred to as injury leave, for up to two calendar months from the date of injury, and additional time may be granted at the discretion of the City Administrator by written order to the Finance Department and Department Chief.
   (b)   The loss of glasses, dentures and watches which should not exceed thirty dollars ($30.00), of officials as described in subsection (a) hereof, while on duty and in performance of routine or regularly assigned work, shall be reimbursed at the cost of replacement upon suitable proof based upon prescribed written department reports.  The City Administrator with the approval of the department chief shall direct replacement by purchase, or reimbursement of the officer's own expenditure.
