All full-time employees of the City who are not covered by collective bargaining agreements shall be granted up to a three working day leave for the purpose of attending the funeral and taking care of family matters, with no loss of pay or deduction from accumulated sick leave or other accumulated leave, in the event of death in their immediate family to include: the employee's parents, legal guardians, spouse, children, stepchildren, siblings, grandparents or grandchildren, the employee's spouse's parents, legal guardians, grandparents or grandchildren.
Such employees shall be granted a one working-day leave with no loss of pay or deduction from accumulated sick leave or other accumulated leave, to attend the funeral of the employee's aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
In addition, one additional day will be provided in each case if the funeral is in excess of one hundred fifty miles from the City.
