(a) Any person or entity desiring a film permit shall file for a film permit with the Film Liaison at least ten (10) days before the contemplated filming or still photography, but in no event less than five (5) days prior to the filming date. If filming/still photography requires Police Department personnel on location, and an application is submitted in less than ten (10) days, the permit may be denied because of lack of available Police resources.
(b) Prior to processing application, the City's processing fee for location filming permit applications shall be paid by the applicant in an amount set by resolution of the City Council. In the event that any applicant requires direct services from the City, as determined necessary by the Film Liaison during location filming activities, including but not limited to, the use of City property, equipment, or the requirement for Police Department or other City personnel, the applicant shall reimburse the City for the cost of all such services provided. Additionally, refundable deposits may be collected from the applicant to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
(c) The Film Liaison shall review the application and may request additional information or verification of information. The Film Liaison, with imposed conditions, may issue the permit if determined the location will not unreasonably impact traffic and it complies with all City standards. The Film Liaison may impose such limitations or conditions on the permit as he or she deems necessary to ensure the public safety and welfare.
