Sec. 9-10.307.  Inclusionary housing incentives.
   Applicants for residential developments who elect to satisfy the requirements of this article by constructing the requisite number of inclusionary units may request the following, which shall be subject to approval by the Community Development Department:
   (a)   A reduction in the size of the inclusionary units relative to the size of the market rate units. In a residential development which contains attached  multi-story the size of an inclusionary unit be reduced to a size less than eighty (80%) percent of the average square footage of market rate units in the same residential development. At the Community Development Director's discretion, the number of bedrooms in an inclusionary unit can be reduced from the average number of bedrooms offered in the market-rate unit.
   (b)   The use of alternative interior finishes and features for the proposed inclusionary units, provided that the proposed finishes and features are durable, of good quality, and consistent with contemporary standards for new residential development.
