Article 15. Regional Shopping Center Zones (C-4)
Sec. 9-4.1500. Purpose (C-4).
The C-4 or Regional Shopping Center Zone is intended for planned shopping centers which serve several communities and where the land and compatible retail stores and associated facilities are designed and developed together as an integrated unit using modern site planning techniques. The primary tenants will usually be one or more major department stores, and the center will offer convenience goods and a full range of shopping goods and services with wide selections in many categories. Shopping centers of this size will be designated and located so as to minimize traffic congestion on public highways and streets in the vicinity and to best fit the general land use pattern of the area to be served.
