Section 101.2 of the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code is amended to read as follows:
101.2 Scope.
The provisions of this code and Title 8, Chapter 4, the City of Thousand Oaks Code Administration shall apply to all existing residential and nonresidential structures and all existing premises and constitute minimum requirements and standards for premises, structures, equipment and facilities for light, ventilation, space, heating sanitation, protection from the elements, a reasonable level of sanitary maintenance the responsibility of owner, an owner’s authorized agent, operator and occupants; the occupancy of existing structures and premises, and for administration, enforcement and penalties.
Section 102.3 of the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code is amended to read as follows:
102.3 Application of other codes. Repairs, additions or alterations to a structure, or changes of occupancy, shall be done in accordance with the procedures and provisions of the California Building Code, California Residential Code, California Fire Code, California Existing Building Code, California Energy Code, California Plumbing Code, California Electrical Code, California Mechanical, California Green Building Code and any adopted local amendments.
When the International Codes are referenced with this code in the City of Thousand Oaks shall mean the current California Codes and all local amendments. When standards are referenced within this Code in the City of Thousand Oaks, the reference shall mean the most current California Referenced Standards.
