After March 21, 1988, no dwelling or group of dwellings shall be erected or altered to provide less than 50 feet of lot width for one family or less than 82 and one-half feet for two families except that a single-family dwelling may be erected on any lot having a width of less than 50 feet, provided, such lot shall have been duly recorded in a plat or deed in the County Recorder’s office prior to March 21, 1988.
