14.60.050: PROCEDURES FOR NAMING OR RENAMING:
   A.   Groups or individuals may submit a written nomination for a name, along with justification, to the Naming Committee. The nomination may include:
      1.   Reasons for the proposed name; and
      2.   Evidence of community support for the proposed name.
   B.   The Naming Committee shall meet as determined necessary and review public comment, if any, and the names or renames in accordance with the guidelines set forth in section 14.60.040 of this chapter and shall forward up to three (3) recommendations to the City Council.
   C.   After giving notice pursuant to Utah Code Annotated section 52-4-101 et seq., as amended from time to time, and giving the public an opportunity to make comments, the City Council may accept or reject the proposed name(s) submitted by the Naming Committee and then make a final determination of the naming by ordinance.
