(A) Pursuant to the authorization of KRS 527.020, police officers of the city are hereby expressly authorized to carry concealed deadly weapons on or about their person at all times within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

(B) Further, peace officers may carry concealed weapons on or about their person when necessary for their protection in the discharge of their official duties, in accordance with KRS 527.020.
