§ 72.14 PARKING IN FIRE LANES.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      (1)   "FIRE HYDRANT." Any pipe through which water may be discharged from the water distribution system provided by the city and, to which there may be connected any hoses of any department or organization provided by the city for the prevention and extinguishment of fires.
      (2)   "FIRE LANE." That portion of any narrow street in the city which is on the same side of the street as a fire hydrant and within 20 feet thereof.
      (3)   "NARROW STREET." That portion of any public street or right-of-way in the city upon which the pavement thereof is less than 20 feet in width.
      (4)   "PARKED." To stop and leave unattended for any period of time.
   (B)   No person shall cause or permit a motor vehicle to be parked within any portion of a fire lane in the city.
