(A) The city is hereby authorized and directed to participate in the County Employee Retirement System of Kentucky with hazardous duty coverage for all eligible members of the police and fire departments. All eligible full time officers and employees of the city are hereby authorized and directed to comply with the statutory requirements of the County Employees Retirement System of Kentucky.
(B) All employees of the city, whose duties require an average of one hundred hours during each working month shall be considered as "regular full time" employees for the purposes of the County Employee Retirement System, except those other persons who are employed as "temporary," "part time" and "seasonal" workers, as defined in KRS 78.510 (21) of the County Employee Retirement Laws.
