§ 111.03 EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   No license fee shall be charged for the following:
      (1)   Farmers selling their own produce;
      (2)   The sale of goods, wares and merchandise which have been donated by the owners when the proceeds of sale are to be given to any charitable or philanthropic entity;
      (3)   Any manufacturer or producer of bread and bakery products, meat and meat products, or milk and milk products;
      (4)   Children under the age of 18 years who take orders for and deliver newspapers, greeting cards, candy, bakery products and the like, or who represent Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts or similar organizations;
      (5)   Insurance agents or brokers licensed under the insurance laws of the commonwealth;
      (6)   Taking orders for merchandise, by sample, for dealers or merchants by individuals or companies who pay a license or business privilege tax at their chief place of business; or
      (7)   Persons working without compensation and selling goods, wares or merchandise for the sole benefit of any nonprofit corporation.
   (B)   All persons exempted from payment of a license fee under this section shall be required to register with the Borough’s Secretary/Treasurer or Secretary/Treasurer’s designee and obtain a license without a fee; provided, any person dealing in one or more of the above mentioned exempted categories, in dealing with other goods, wares or merchandise not so exempted, shall be subject to the payment of the license fee fixed by § 111.02 for his or her activities or in connection with the sale of goods, wares and merchandise not in such exempted categories.
