(a) In the event any person, required to register under the provisions of this chapter, shall change his place of residence, stopping place or living quarters to any new or different place within the City, other than the place last reported to the Police Department, such person shall, within twenty-four hours after removing himself from the place of abode first given, notify the Police Department, in a written and signed statement of such change of address and shall furnish in such written statement his new or different address, and each thereof. Such written and signed statement shall be delivered personally by the person required to register under these provisions.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
