(a) The following locations are hereby established as authorized to tow vehicles and are hereby established as sites for impounding of motor vehicles legally removed by enforcement authorities:
(1) Bower's Towing, 585 Cuyahoga St., Akron, Ohio, 44310;
(2) Johnny's Auto and Truck Towing, 1122 Sweitzer Ave., Akron, Ohio, 44301;
(3) Adorni's, 3974 Mogadore Road, Mogadore, Ohio 44260;
(4) Joe's Auto Service, 1903 Marhofer Dr., Stow, Ohio 44224;
(5) Keller-Hall Crane Service, 1247 Eastwood Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio, 44278; and
(6) Phil's Towing Service 471 Geneva Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio, 44278.
(7) T.R. Recovery, 386 Geneva Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio 44278.
(b) No person shall tow or cause to be towed any vehicle within the City; or shall any place be used as an impound site, unless he has furnished a certificate of insurance or an acknowledgement thereof, by an insurance carrier licensed to do business in the State, evidence of such person's legal liability to protect property in his care, custody or control in an amount not less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) and general liability in an amount not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). In addition thereto, evidence of personal injury liability and property damage/insurance coverage liability in an amount of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) per person coverage and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) per occurrence shall be provided. For heavy duty tows, evidence of a garage keeper's legal liability to protect property in his care, custody or control in an amount not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) general liability in an amount not less than three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000); in addition thereto, evidence of public liability and property damage insurance coverage in an amount not less than three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) per person coverage and five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) per occurrence.
(c) Such policy shall provide that it shall not be terminated until after at least ten days notice shall have been given by the company issuing such policy in writing to the Safety Director. The policy shall indemnify the City, its officer, agents, and employees, and any and all third persons from loss or damage, by reason of any negligent or unlawful act committed or performed by the applicant, its agents or servants in conjunction with the towing of any vehicle in response to a police call or the impounding of any such vehicle.
