1501.99 PENALTIES.
   (a)   No person shall knowingly violate any provision of the Ohio Fire Code or any order made pursuant to it.
   (b)   No person shall knowingly build in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or plans submitted and approved pursuant to the Ohio Fire Code.
   (c)   No person shall knowingly fail to comply with the terms and conditions of any permit issued pursuant to the Ohio Fire Code or section 1501.02, herein.
   (d)   Whoever violates this section shall severally for each and every such violation and noncompliance respectively, be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than one hundred eighty days (180), or both.
   (e)   The imposition of a criminal penalty for any violation shall not:
      (1)   Excuse the violation or permit it to continue;
      (2)   Prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions; or
      (3)   Preclude the imposition of any civil penalties pursuant to the Ohio Fire Code or Ohio R.C. 3737.
   (f)   Each day that the prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 2022-77. Passed 11-10-22.)
