SECTION 15.01 PRIMARY ELECTIONS
   Primary elections held in the City shall be partisan, requiring that each person seeking election must be nominated by a party, or declare themselves as Independent candidates, in accordance with the provisions of general law.
   Primary elections shall be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May in odd-numbered years. Nominating petitions for candidates for municipal positions shall be filed with the Board of Elections at least 90 days prior to the date of the primary election. Each candidate shall file a petition containing at least 25 signatures of qualified electors for each Ward Council seat and at least 50 signatures of qualified electors for all offices elected at-large.
