The Director of Law shall be a qualified elector and resident in the City for at least one (1) year immediately prior to the date of the election and shall continue to be a qualified elector and resident therein during the term of office.
The Director of Law shall be an attorney duly admitted and, at all times during the term of office, licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. He or she shall have been engaged in the active practice of law for at least three (3) years preceding the election.
