The Mayor shall have been a continuous resident and qualified elector for at least one (1) year immediately prior to the date of the election of this City or territory annexed thereto, and during the term of office shall be a continuous resident and qualified elector of this City. The Mayor shall not hold any other elective public office or employment which would be in conflict with the duties of Mayor. The Mayor may be a notary public, a member of the State Militia or Reserve Corps of the United States and may hold an office in a political party. The Mayor shall be a full-time elected official.
