(A) A fee of $5 shall be collected by the County Sheriff’s Department for all motor vehicle title checks performed by its personnel.
(B) The County Sheriff’s Department shall issue a Sheriff’s receipt to the person paying for the vehicle title check.
(C) Once each month the County Sheriff shall remit all fees collected under this section to the County Auditor, along with a monthly report or collections.
(D) The County Auditor shall deposit all fees collected under this section in the Vehicle Inspection Fund.
(E) This section shall become effective 30 days after legal notice of its passage has been advertised according to law.
