(A) The International Fire Code and NFPA Life and Safety Code are hereby adopted by the City of Sweeny, Texas, by reference as if fully copied herein.
(B) When any reference is made within said code to the duties of a certain official named therein, that designated official of the City of Sweeny, Texas, who has duties corresponding to those of the named official in said code shall be deemed to be the responsible official insofar as enforcing the provisions of said code are concerned.
(C) The permit fees are established for inspections by the Fire Marshal for compliance with the fire prevention code. Fees are referenced on the city's master fee schedule.
(D) All sums received from fire prevention code inspections shall be placed into the Fire Marshal’s
account for budget and accounting purposes.
