§ 95.07 BARRICADES AND WARNING LIGHTS.
   (A)   Any person engaged in or employing others in excavating or opening any street, sidewalk, alley or other public way shall have such excavation or opening fully barricaded at all times to prevent injury to persons or animals.

   (B)   Any person engaged in or employing others in excavating, or otherwise in any manner obstructing a portion or all of any street, sidewalk, alley or other public way, at all times during the night season shall cause at least two illuminated amber lamps to be securely and conspicuously posted on, at or near each end of such obstruction of excavation, and if the space involved shall exceed 50 feet in extent, then at least one additional lamp for each added 50 feet or portion thereof excavated or obstructed shall be so posted.

   (C)   No person shall abandon or knowingly permit to remain on public or private property, any excavation, well, cesspool or structure which is in the process of construction, reconstruction, repair or alteration unless the same is adequately protected by suitable barricades and guarded by warning devices or lights at night so that the condition will not reasonably prove dangerous to life or limb.
