Immediately upon impounding an identified animal, the Animal Control subchapter shall make reasonable efforts, as determined by Health and Nutrition Center policy, to notify the owner and inform such owner of the conditions under which the animal may be redeemed. Such conditions include, but shall not be limited to, the charging of those fees as are described in § 90.034 below. If, after 72 business hours, the owner is unknown or cannot be located, or if the owner has not contacted the Animal Control Subchapter, the animal shall then become the property of the Animal Shelter as described in § 90.035(A).
