A. All licensed security guards shall wear a uniform when involved in such security guard activities. Any uniform to be worn by a licensee shall first be submitted to and approved by the chief of police. No such licensee shall wear any uniform, badge, shoulder patch, chevron or any other emblem or insignia similar to or in imitation of those worn by members of any governmental law enforcement agency, including among other agencies, the city police.
B. A licensee shall carry, at all times while conducting business, an identification card which bears the photograph of the licensee. Any identification card shall be surrendered by the licensee in the event the license is revoked.
C. A licensee shall not solicit or advertise for business using any name other than the name actually appearing on the license issued by the city. A licensee shall not display on a vehicle any shield, star or other emblem or colorization or decoration which would likely deceive or confuse the public or be identical with or similar to any emblem on any law enforcement vehicle, or any emergency lights which are either red or blue. The licensee shall distinctively mark any vehicle used in connection with its business activities in such a way as to make it readily identifiable to the police department. (1990 Code)
