4-2-4: STORAGE REGULATIONS:
   A.   Preparation Of Garbage And Rubbish: All garbage and rubbish shall be placed in containers, except as herein otherwise provided.
      1.   All garbage shall be drained of excess water and either wrapped in paper or placed in containers lined with paper.
      2.   Tree trunks, large limbs and similar heavy objects shall be cut or knocked down to sizes not exceeding six feet (6') in length and seventy five (75) pounds in weight. Brush and tree trimmings shall be cut into lengths for easy handling and placed in piles and so covered as to prevent the same from blowing and being scattered about. (Ord. 21, 4-4-1969)
   B.   Container Specifications: Garbage containers shall be watertight and made of either metal or plastic with suitable handles for carrying and close fitting covers, or shall be heavy gauge plastic bags of at least one and one-half millimeters (11/2 mm) in thickness. When placed for collection, they must be securely tied and the contents shall not cause the bag to tear. (1990 Code)
   C.   Location Of Containers For Pick Up: Containers or rubbish shall be placed in front of the premises in areas where there are no alleys and placed in alleys in areas where alleys are available by the owners or occupants of such premises on the morning of or the evening before the day scheduled for collection; and the empty containers shall be withdrawn from the front of the premises or the alleys as soon after collection as possible on the same day.
