Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter and failing to comply with the provisions of the notice hereby provided for within twenty (20) days from the service of said notice is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, is punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day of violation, commencing from and including the twenty first day after notice of violation has been served as herein provided for, may be considered a separate offense and said fine or imprisonment may be imposed for each such offense.
