Parking spaces on the public ways within the town shall be designated as “Handicap Only” for persons with a disability. The spaces shall be clearly posted by signage or paint or both with the blue color and symbol used by the state. Vehicles parking in such designated areas shall clearly display the license plate or decal, including the disabled veteran plate issued by the state in which the vehicle is registered. Any vehicle occupying the space shall be cited for illegal parking and be subject to the penalties provided in § 72.99.
