(A) For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
FIREARM FACSIMILE. Any blank gun, replica firearm or any object or device that by size, shape, color, construction or design might reasonably be perceived to be a firearm or is designed to appear like a firearm, but is not actually a firearm. A FIREARM FACSIMILE does not include a pneumatic gun.
PEACE OFFICER. Any sworn federal, state, county or local law enforcement officer or other person authorized to enforce state laws or township ordinances. This includes, but is not limited to, any member of the Sheriff's Office, conservation officers or ordinance officers.
PNEUMATIC GUN. Any implement, designed as a gun that will expel a BB or pellet by spring, gas, or air. PNEUMATIC GUN includes a paintball gun that expels by pneumatic pressure plastic balls filled with paint or other liquids for the purpose of marking the point of impact.
PUBLIC PLACE. Any street, alley, sidewalk, park, public building, place of business open to or frequented by the public, and any other place which is generally accessible to the public.
(B) All other words and phrases related to firearms shall be defined as they are by state statute.
