§ 131.99 PENALTY.
   Except as provided in § 131.10, any person who is convicted of a violation of any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and will be punished by a fine not to exceed $500, or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed 90 days, or both. The township may also proceed in any court of competent jurisdiction to obtain an injunction, restraining order, or other appropriate remedy to compel compliance with this chapter. Election of 1 of the foregoing remedies will not preclude the application of the other remedy. Each day a violation continues will be considered a separate offense, and may be punished accordingly.
