§ 31.05 AUTHORITY TO BUY AND SELL PROPERTY.
   (A)   The Township Board of the Township of Summit, Jackson County, Michigan, be and it hereby is, authorized and empowered to purchase, lease, and hold real and personal property for the public use of the inhabitants of the township, and to convey, alienate, and dispose of the same; and to make all contracts incident thereto that may be necessary and convenient as it shall judge expedient.
   (B)   (1)   The Township Supervisor and the Township Clerk be, and they hereby are, authorized and empowered on behalf of the township to execute, acknowledge, and deliver any and all instruments in connection with the purchase, sale, or lease of real and personal property, including, but not limited to, contracts, deeds of conveyance, leases, and bills of sale.
      (2)   This authority shall remain in force and effect until modified or repealed by the electors at a subsequent annual meeting or at a special meeting of the electors.
