(A) This subchapter shall be known as the “School Traffic Control Ordinance.”
(B) For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES. The duly constituted Board of the Jackson Community College District operating wholly or partially within the territorial boundaries of the township, provided, however, that this subchapter shall be in effect only in the Community College District or in those school districts where the controlling board has specifically adopted a resolution requesting application of this subchapter as provided in Public Act 175 of 1958, as amended.
DESIGNATED AREA. An area where the Board of Trustees by conspicuously placed signs, designates a given area for a specific use.
MOTOR VEHICLE. Every vehicle which is self-propelled, excluding, however, SNOWMOBILES.
PERSON. An individual, partnership, corporation, and any other body of persons, whether incorporated or not.
SNOWMOBILES. Any motorized vehicle designed for travel primarily on snow or ice steered by wheels, skis, or runners.
