(A) This subchapter shall be known as the “School Traffic Control Ordinance.”
(B) For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BOARD OF EDUCATION. The duly constituted Board of Education of Jackson County Intermediate School District operating wholly or partially within the territorial boundaries of the Township of Summit, Jackson County, Michigan.
DESIGNATED AREA. An area where the Board of Education, by conspicuously placed signs, designates a given area for a specific use.
MOTOR VEHICLE. Every vehicle which is self-propelled.
PERSON. An individual, partnership, corporation, and any other body of persons, whether incorporated or not.
