§ 51.093 GREASE, OIL, AND SAND INTERCEPTORS.
   (A)   (1)   Grease, oil, and sand interceptors shall be installed, operated, maintained, repaired, and replaced by the individual user and at no cost to the other users of the system when determined by the township to be necessary for the proper handling of sewage containing ingredients described in § 51.082.
      (2)   As a general rule, all restaurants and similar facilities shall be required to install a standard grease trap.
   (B)   All interceptors shall be:
      (1)   Of the type and capacity prescribed by the township;
      (2)   Located so as to be readily and easily accessible for cleaning and inspection;
      (3)   Constructed of impervious materials capable of withstanding abrupt and extreme changes in temperature; and
      (4)   Of substantial construction, watertight, and equipped with easily removable covers which when bolted in place shall be gastight and watertight. Interceptors shall not be required for private living quarters or dwelling units.
